Team description

Within the Energy Business Line, the Software Grid Solutions (SGS) department is responsible for managing the Smart Metering / Smart Grid software server product line, integrating it into customer ecosystems, and providing a range of services to clients (SaaS, DaaS, platform operations, audits, etc.). The infrastructures deployed by Sagemcom are now considered critical infrastructures and are therefore subject to local cybersecurity and data protection requirements.

SGS acts as the principal contractor to various Research and Development (R&D) centers based in EMEA, as well as to different satellite entities (client frontend) managing our Utility clients locally. The solutions deployed by Sagemcom consist of IoT platforms that support all communication protocols with smart meters, technical and business management, a set of innovative features (Analytics) addressing various use cases in the Smart Metering world, as well as a range of professional services.

With a strong technical focus, the Senior Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of several ongoing or newly won Australian programs as part of the implementation of our end-to-end multi-Energy solutions.

Mission statement

The Senior Program Manager role, located in Melbourne (Victoria, Australia), reports to the Director of the SGS Department based in France. You will be the primary interface for local clients and play a pivotal role in implementing Sagemcom's Smart Grid solutions according to client requirements while managing both external and internal partners (R&D, Product Managers, Sales Teams).

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing and monitoring projects in accordance with client requirements (scheduling, technical solutions, KPIs).
  • Managing your project P&L.
  • Supporting sales teams during pre-sales and tender phases in your area.
  • Acting as the local liaison for the SGS Department Director and directly reporting program activities within your scope.

Profile

Master's degree (Bac+5) in general engineering or a specialization in IoT information systems.
Proven experience in program management, specifically with deployments of IoT solutions and professional services (SaaS, DaaS) aimed at business clients (BtoC).
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Willingness to travel for business is a source of motivation.
PMI/Prince 2 or ITIL certifications are a significant advantage.
