The team is based in Dallas and works closely with R&D teams in France and Tunisia. Operating in a global environment, the team supports customer deployments, product validation activities, issue resolution, and business development initiatives across North America. Working in close collaboration with product management and sales teams, the organization provides technical expertise for customer engagements, proof-of-concepts, responses to requests for proposals (RFPs), and successful deployment of Sagemcom solutions while maintaining strong collaboration with global engineering teams.

Position Summary
The Field Application & Validation Engineer serves as the primary technical interface between customers and R&D teams. The role focuses on product validation, customer support, deployment of local validation resources, test automation, and investigation of field-reported issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers during validation, deployment, and issue resolution activities.

- Support product validation activities in customer environments.

- Investigate, document, and track product issues and anomalies.
Support maintenance and evolution of the customer ticketing system.

- Ensure integration between the customer ticketing platform and the company's central ticket management system.

- Coordinate customer incidents and service requests through resolution.

- Communicate technical issues, priorities, and status updates to customers and internal teams.

- Establish and maintain local validation capabilities, including test benches, test equipment, and validation procedures supporting customer deployments and issue reproduction.

- Develop and maintain validation procedures for customer and field use cases.

- Develop and maintain automated validation and regression tests for commonly used customer workflows and product features.

- Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and verification of corrective actions.

- Reproduce and analyze customer-reported issues in laboratory environments.

- Collaborate with R&D teams in Dallas, France, and Tunisia to support product quality and customer deployments.

- Experience in customer-facing technical roles, technical support, product support, validation, or field engineering.

- Strong experience with ticketing and incident-management systems.

- Experience in industrial and/or embedded systems environments is required.

- Experience with product validation and test execution.

- Familiarity with test automation frameworks and automated validation workflows.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.

- Well-organized with strong attention to detail.

- Customer-focused and results-oriented mindset.

- Professional English proficiency.

- French language skills are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in the energy, smart metering, telecommunications, IoT, or embedded systems industries.

- Experience working with globally distributed engineering teams.

- Experience with laboratory equipment, test benches, and validation environments.

- Experience supporting field deployments and customer acceptance testing.

- Experience with Robot Framework.

- Experience using AI-assisted tools to accelerate test planning, test case design, and automated test development.
