Team description
SW development team in Australia needs to be reinforced with a VIE engineer reporting to our local SW development team leader. Mission is based in Sydney.
Mission statement
You will be involved in the SW conception, development, integration and fine tuning of real time embedded software targeting new generation of CPE.
Your tasks will be the following :
- Analyse (and/or clarify) specifications
- Participate to the preliminary conception.
- Define detailed conception.
- Develop software components in user land or kernel land (C, C++, Linux embedded OS, networking).
- Define and code unitary testing (for continuous integration)
- Participate to integration phases
- Participate to team meetings with our R&D center in France
- Participate to project meeting with customer.
Targeted product is a new generation of Internet Access wireless Router for a major Australian operator. New technologies you will be working on will be 5G, Wifi7, Wifi mesh, …
You may be in contact with technical teams also visit the various labs of our customer, in Sydney and punctually in Melbourne during development and troubleshooting phases.
Profile
Engineer degree with computer science, Telecom speciality.
You are skilled from academic point of view and eventually with a first experience in real time embedded software programming.
SW Programming languages : C, C++, Python
Tools : Git/Gitlab, Jira, buildroot, Openwrt, gdb, Valgrind, docker, Jenkins in Linux environment
You have Hands-on experience on one or more of the following technologies :
IP protocols: IPv4/IPv6, GRE, L2-L4 QoS, multicast, VPN
WAN access: A/VDSL, DOCSIS, G/EPON, 10G-PON, LTE/5G
Voice: SIP, MGCP/NCS, PacketCable
LAN wireline: Ethernet, MoCA, G.hn, PLC
LAN wireless: Wi-Fi, Mesh, Zigbee, Bluetooth
Device management: TR069/TR181, USP, SNMP
Experience required: 0~2 years
Foreign languages required: Fluent English communication skills.
